5 Signs Your Phone Has Water Damage (And What to Do Immediately)

Water damage is one of the most damaging things that can happen to a smartphone, and it does not always announce itself immediately. Your phone might seem fine straight after getting wet, only to develop problems hours or even days later. Here are the top signs that your phone has water damage, and what you should do about it.

1. Your Phone Stopped Working After Contact With Liquid

If your phone got wet and then stopped turning on, water damage is the most likely cause. Even phones with IP water resistance ratings can suffer internal damage from submersion or exposure to liquids other than clean water, such as drinks, seawater or rainwater.

2. The Liquid Damage Indicator Has Changed Colour
